This vinyl EP is a teaser for two great albums coming on Basswerk. Basswerk takes the next step after releasing a 3-Cd Compilation in 2008: In 2010 there will be 4 artist albums wtih very different styles of drum & bass - and new borders will be explored
Album#1 is from Subz & Matik from Kiel. It's called Low Pressure Area and features liquid, dubby, minimal sound with deep basses. Bright Lights is a very typical track for the album. It was already also played on Bailey's 1Xtra Show on BBC1.
Album#2 is from Molecular Structures and features some collaborations that already show his open mindedness: Emo is a dark tune with strings made together with Unquote from hospital Rec,. One could say its drum & bass in a "burial" style. Seeing Sounds is some very fresh and jazzy Breakbeat tune with lush pads and some kind of Inner City vibe.
